Dave's World Adventure Idea! Any Takers?

I'm considering a kayaking escape for the upper Midwest crowd, at the end of winter.  I have done considerable amount of map looking, article reading, and web browsing to feel confident that if we shoot south from Wisconsin, we will get a good chance at a pleasant adventure.  On the Gulf of Mexico, there is the Gulf Islands National Seashore.  This park is about 150 miles long and consists of seashore, barrier islands, bayous, and woodlands.  There is historical preservation, like the Naval Live Oaks Reservation and wilderness areas (Gulf Islands Wilderness, 1978).  I propose that a kayaker could paddle the open water out to the wilderness islands (Horn and Petit Bois) and have a couple of days of exploration and relaxation.  Anybody interested or have a better idea?  I’d love to put something together and escape the cold. Use the comment box below and let me know.

This sounds awesome. Let us know cost and time line. I'm definitely due for some warm weather and sunny beaches.
