SARAH SCHUSTER, CWO's fearless leader works day and night to make Clear Water Outdoor the premier outdoor store in southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Sarah grew up in Lake Geneva...she attended Traver Elementary and later graduated from Badger High School. During her youth, Sarah and her 18 cousins explored the outdoors around the family farm and at their pier on Geneva Lake; her family has been in the area for over five generations. Sarah's love of the outdoors began in Wisconisin and developed during her 17 year stint as a young adult living in Arizona and Oregon. Sarah and David traveled all around the west, while still returning home every summer to run the South Lake Shore Fireworks Stand. After 18 years in the Speciality Outdoor Retail world working everything from sales, management, buying, and merchandising at stores from REI to Aspen Sports, Sarah made her dream come true. Late one night, Dave dared Sarah to write the business plan she had always dreamt of...and only 4 months later Clear Water Outdoor opened their doors for business.
DAVE SCHUSTER Known for his early morning and late night office duties, Dave is more than just a brainiac who loves numbers. Dave is often found out on the lake Saturday mornings with Paddle Nation, CWO's paddle club, or kiteskiing on a frozen lake with his Ozone gear. Dave loves to play outdoors with the customers and test out new products when he's not volunteering coaching his YMCA soccer team or running a bonfire at Big Foot Beach State Park. No wonder Sarah married him...an outdoor guru, accouting wiz, and a man with a heart.
LAURA LUKSICH Laura graces our store floor when she's not cycling to work, coaching the Badger High School Cross Country Team, or running the lake trail with CWOs Running Club. An expert paddler from her days on an Outward Bound Bahama trip, Laura can help you with your kayaking needs as well as set you up with the coolest styles in the store. She and her husband Aaron, local math teacher wiz, had twin boys this June. Congratulations!
MARK HICKEY This man knows our gear. Mark, a newly converted canoe and running enthusiast, will help outfit you for any adventure. If you're looking for some high tech gadgets like GPS, camping stoves or watches, Mark is your man. He's also been known to turn a paddle with the grace of a gazzelle on the lake. Stop in and ask Mark about in store events and local races.
BILL SHIMER Bill shines brightest when he's got an adventure on the horizon...iceclimbing Alaskan glaciers, backpacking through Thailand, scubadiving in Honduras. After a year haitus, where Bill and his wife taught down in the Bahamas, Bill returns this fall to oversee CWO's new on line store. LAURA HERING Lahlah, the other running Laura, is a keen outdoors woman. You may have heard rumors of her trek across Spain, and they're ALL TRUE. Not only does she have the traveling bug but she's up for almost any outdoor sport like kayaking and showshoeing and she's found her daily balance in Tai Chi and Yoga, as of late. Visit the store on Thursdays or the weekend, to find out more about Laura's CWO Trips and Leki Walking Clinics this summer.
JESSICA ASPINAL Jessica is not only a stellar cyclist and avid dog-walker, but a mother of three, creative clothes genius and Sarah's cousin. If you're looking to outfit your family in the high-quality durable clothes, she's got gift ideas for the whole gang.
