This certification qualifies you to teach introductory kayak skills in a variety of kayaks (sea, river, recs, sit on top) in protected and calm water location. A great way for camps, paddle shops, and, many more to add kayaking instruction into their programs and having instructors who can teach on inland lakes. Prerequisite: ACA level 2 Essentials of Kayaking IDW
The IDW/ICE requires a $75 non-refundable deposit to register, with the balance due 4 weeks prior to the start of the course. A 15-business-day cancellation notice is required to receive a refund on the balance of the course fee. Tuition for the IDW includes ACA required instructional materials.
In addition to tuition, annual membership is required in the ACA for an additional $40.00, due on the first day of the IDW. At the time of Certification, annual membership is also required in the Safety, Education and Instruction Committee for an additional $25.00.
